Twilight Series Books Top the Best-Selling Books List
USA Today has a top Best-Selling Books List for each year. They have been doing this for sixteen years now. The 2009 list was just released this week and for the first time ever an author has swept the top four spots. For 2009 USA Today says the best-selling books were the Twilight series books by Stephenie Meyer!
The Top selling books went in this order:
1. New Moon
2. Eclipse
3. Twilight
4. Breaking Dawn
Not only did Stephenie Meyer do well with the Twilight Series books on this list but her adult fiction book The Host came in 19th! This is quite an accomplishment and shows how great the books really are! We sure are lucky that Stephenie had the dream she did one night of a vampire and a girl in a meadow.
USA Today also reported that the Twilight Series accounted for 29% of sales tracked in 2009. This is the highest in the list history. Now think about it a little bit here! The Twilight Series beat out a great favorite among many young adults and adults alike, the Harry Potter Series by JK Rowlings! It has officially become bigger than Harry Potter. Well at least the books have. (We aren’t comparing the movies right now.)
I am so glad that others are seeing how great the series is and yes it is not just for tweens and teens! I am one of those in my 30s that loves the Twilight Series Books. This list shows that there are a lot of people like me and you who are interested in what happens to Bella Swan and all those she loves!
Yeah for Stephenie Meyer!

My Twilight Journal: Port Angeles
The last Twilight Journal entry I left off after Bella figured out that Edward is not a superhero but a vampire. I pick up with her at school. She was really anxious and excited to see Edward at school the next day. Once again she is disappointed because Edward is not at school again!!! Okay this is one thing that I think is really interesting because when I was in High school several years ago, (in Washington) I got sick a lot and it was a real issue with the school! So how is it that the Cullen’s can miss school on sunny days (I know there are not many of them), for their hunting trips and just for the heck of it?! Oh well! They are vampires and can get away with everything!
Shopping with the girls in Port Angeles.
On Tuesday night Bella is off with Jessica and Angela to find dresses in Port Angeles. I felt like it was predictable that Edward showed up I am not saying that it was bad but good. I love that he is coming to her rescue all the time. It goes back to how a book fulfills a need for me to meet my expectations.
The restaurant was perfect. Having a beautiful waitress only have eyes for Edward but he only gave Bella the time of day. I really loved how Edward was so honest with Bella! Through the car ride home as well. He didn’t hold back.
He totally wants to run Bella off because of how hard things would be between a vampire and a human.
The question I have is Why can’t he read Bella’s mind? What is different about her? How does he know that her number is up and why did he decide to come back after a week and save her?
I don’t know if these questions will be answered but I want to keep reading to find out.

New Moon Movie Was Great!
Okay this post is overdue! I had some serious problems with my computer last week starting on Tuesday. So excuse my absence!
On Monday I went with my husband to the Twilight Saga: New Moon movie! I absolutely loved it! Most of the time when books are converted into movies they are a huge disappointment. Often they don’t include critical elements to the story or the story gets completely changed. In the New Moon movie I found that is stayed very very close to the book. It was so great! I was really impressed by everything about it.
Some of my favorite things about the New Moon movie was the wolves. Can I just say Wow!! The wolves were surprising and huge. I also really liked how affectionate Edward and Bella were at the beginning of the movie. This really showed how there relationship grew throughout the summer.
A few things I missed in the movie from the book. I was a little disappointed they didn’t show the women with rosary beads, you know the one that was going into the Volturi for lunch. I wanted to see that fear and the affect it had on Bella. The one other thing I missed is Bella and Edward after the Volturi. I wanted more of a dialog of Edward convincing Bella he really did love her and he would never ever leave her again!
Over all though I loved this movie. It met my expectations and it is a movie that I would pay to go see again in the theater, and I never do that! So if you haven’t gone to see the New Moon movie…YOU MUST!!

New Moon Movie Here I come!
Today is the day for me to go see the Twilight Saga: New Moon movie. I know most of you have probably already seen it. I am not a huge fan of crowds so I decided to wait a few days to see the movie. I am so excited!
New Moon Broke a Record
This morning on the news it was reported that over the first weekend that the New Moon movie was open it broke records and made $140.7 million! It broke the record on Friday for all-time domestic for opening day $72.7 million! Wow!! That is pretty exciting!
My husband and I are going to be taking our youngest kids to the babysitter and go see New Moon movie. Later today or tomorrow I will post my personal review of the movie. I have heard some great things about it. Although from what I have read the critics are being…well critical! I have always done my best to stay away from what the critics say and listen to what real people say. Real people are saying this movie is really great!
So what I want to know from those of you that haven’t seen New Moon…Why haven’t you? Are you waiting for the crowds to die down? For those who have see the movie are you reading New Moon again? New Moon Movie Premier
I am sure that most fans know that the New Moon Movie Premier was on Monday. I was able to watch it live on My Space as the stars came rolling in. It was so fun and very exciting. The movie officially premiers Friday. It is such an exciting time for all of the Twilight Saga fans. I think all of the fans are really anticipating what is going to happen in the New Moon movie. I am really excited to see how it plays out on film. Is it anything like what I imagined as I read the New Moon book.
Also this week has been so fun to watch because of all the interviews and New Moon movie mania. Finally the rest of the world are seeing just how much we love the books! I wanted to share just a few You Tube videos from the premier. I think everyone did such a fabulous job with answering questions. Even though I am a huge Team Edward fan I think both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner did a fantastic job on the red carpet. They were geniune and so excited to see the New Moon movie!
One thing I must say is how annoying the woman is next to Rob. She is the one controlling how many questions are asked and actually cutting Rob off at times. I really wanted to punch her and I am not a violent person. I understand that everyone is on a schedule but you don’t have to be rude about it and she was down right rude a lot of the times. She was rude to the fans as well! Okay I will get off my soap box now!

This Access Hollywood interview of Taylor Lautner is my favorite of him for the night. He is just too cute and just makes you want to be a sixteen year old girl again!
