Bella and Edward
My Journal of Twilight: Edward and Bella
My last journal entry for Twilight, Edward and Bella were just heading back to Bella’s house after there afternoon at Edward’s meadow. This is one of the best parts of the whole book at least so far. In my humble opinion at least!
The ride to Bella’s house.
The ride home was pretty informative. We learn with Bella about Edward and how he came to be who he is — a vampire. We also learn about the rest of the Cullen’s and how they became vampires. Once they get into Bella’s house Edward confesses that he comes to her house every night and watches her sleep. Bella is completely shocked! I honestly think it is sweet! He tells her how she talks in her sleep and he likes to listen. I can only imagine how horrified I would be to hear that the guy you like has been watching you sleep at night and listening to you talk in your sleep. › Continue reading
My Twilight Journal: Saturday with Edward Cullen
Saturday with Edward in Edward’s meadow is one of my favorite parts of the books so far. There is so much that happens and such a turn in the relationship between Edward and Bella!
Okay I have to admit it I love how Bella admires Edward’s chest and face. I can only imagine how truly beautiful the Cullen’s are. I don’t think the movies do them justice! On the way to Edward’s meadow he continues to badger her with questions. When they reach the meadow Bella is over come with the beauty there. Suddenly Edward is gone.
Edwards Meadow is a sanctuary
Here in the meadow Edward finally, Finally lets his guard down and shows himself to Bella, first in the sunlight and then they finally touch!! Bella starts by only touching his arm with her finger then his hand is in hers. She is so mesmerized by how Edward sparkles. The chemistry between the two is just electric! Then Edward loses it for a few minutes. He runs off, shows Bella how strong and fast he is. I get it, he wants her to truly understand how she should be in danger! What he doesn’t realize is that she knows she “should” be in danger but she can’t feel it! › Continue reading
Goodbye My Lover: Video
Here is a beautiful rendition of Goodbye my Lover! I saw this yesterday and it definitely stirs the heart strings!
Twilight: Bella and Edward
I am a big fan of Stephenie Meyer’s series, Twilight. Bella and Edward had great chemistry. It was so strong that it came through the pages while I was reading it. The first movie, Twilight, was a little disappointing for me. After building up a picture in my mind from the book, I thought the movie was a let-down in some ways.
The casting was great and I loved all the support players, but I couldn’t get past the lead roles in Twilight. Bella and Edward didn’t fit with the book I had read. Edward seemed to never be sure of himself and I got tired of him always looking down, as if he had no confidence. I thought this was so opposite from the book. He was the strong, independent type who didn’t care what people thought of him. If I had seen him at my school, I wouldn’t have been impressed.
Bella was a little closer to what I pictured but even then, her facial expressions were sadly lacking. I felt her mood was the same throughout the whole movie. Even when she was happy, she seemed little different than when she was upset. I had a very hard time getting into her character and feeling what she was feeling. The whole thought of her being madly in love was, in my opinion, quite unbelievable.
The chemistry was nowhere near what it was in the book. I hope the next movie, New Moon, is done a little better. Since they can’t change the characters now, I hope they at least put a little more effort into their acting and work at having some sort of spark between Bella and Edward. I felt oddly empty after watching this first movie.
My husband watched the second half of the movie with me, and although he also laughed a little at the main characters of Twilight, Bella and Edward, he did think it was better than he thought it would be.
All in all, I thought it was a decent movie but I might have enjoyed it more if there had been no expectations made by reading the books. I don’t know if I care enough to see this one again. I’d rather read the book.

PS. I would love to hear what you think about Bella and Edward! Do you agree or disagree with my opinion?
