Stephenie Meyer is the famed author of the Twilight saga. I found a Stephenie Meyer interview of Stephenie Meyer at a Borders book club from 2008. It was shown on the blog Library Junction. In this book club meeting, Stephenie sits down with women of all ages, as well as girls that love the Twilight series. It shows the variety of fans that she has collected over the years. it is interesting to hear the answers that she has to some of their questions. She’s not the typical author because she never intended to be an author. I appreciate her because she began just as a stay-at-home mom. Check out this Stephenie Meyer interview. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.

Stephenie Meyer has created somewhat of an empire with her books. They have been created into movies, so far, the Twilight movie and the New Moon movie have come out in theaters. At the end of June 2010 in the series Eclipse will be premiering. You can find the Twilight movie on DVD. The DVD of the New Moon movie will be out this month.

I found this great Twilight video depicting Bella in New Moon. The music is a song called It Must Have Been Love, originally done by Roxette for the movie Pretty Woman.  This Twilight video and music is very moving.  It brings you back to when you lost your very first love, any love for that matter.  It can be really heart wrenching to go through that kind of pain.

This is very true for Bella Swan when Edward leaves her and tells her that he doesn’t want her anymore.  That he should have stopped there relationship long before then.  I hope you enjoy the video!

I am starting a little series for those who come across this blog and don’t know much about the Twilight series.  The first question I will cover is:

How many books are in the Twilight Series?

The Twilight series books which are written by Stephenie Meyer include four books.

Twilight is the very first book written in the Twilight series.  It was published in 2005. It introduces us to Isabella (Bella) Swan and Edward Cullen.  These two teenagers become drawn to each other in more ways then one.

New Moon is the second book in the Twilight series.  New Moon is a time of discovery for Bella and Edward.  Will they be able to stand the test of time?  It all depends on what happens in this book.  Jacob Black and the werewolves are introduced in this book.

Eclipse is the third installment of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight saga.  Here Bella must determine how she truly feels about Edward and Jacob.  More trials come when a vampire is out to get Bella.  Here we see a reuniting of the mortal enemies – the Vampires and the Werewolves.

Breaking Dawn is the final book in the Twilight series.  This book is the largest of all the series with almost eight hundred pages!  This book resolves all of the issues that have come up in the whole series.  Will Bella become a vampire?  Will Edward and Bella marry?  What happens to Jacob?  There are many more questions and situations that are resolved in this book!

These are the Twilight series books but Stephenie Meyer has stated that she has never intended it to end at four.  So how many books are in the Twilight series?  These books are all based on Bella Swan’s view.  Stephenie Meyer has said she is done with Bella’s view. She has also stated that she will revisit vampires at a later date!

Are you excited about New Moon coming out on DVD?  I AM!!  The New Moon movie was much better than the Twilight movie in my opinion (go ahead throw darts at my head). There is now  a New Moon DVD Release Date available!  The DVD of the movie will be available as of March 20, 2010.  I know that seem really far away now but it is less than two months.  Some retailers including Amazon.com are taking preorders.  This means that you will be guarenteed to have your New Moon movie. No worrying about getting to the store early to purchase your own copy!

I don’t know about you but I want to have the full collection of movies from the Twilight Saga. New Moon DVD release date will be marked on my calendar!  You need to have the wolf pack and the Volturi in your home and available to you when you want to see them!

Each of these retailers have different options available for DVD’s you can get blu Ray, 2 or 3 disc combinations. Today is the day for me to go see the Twilight Saga: New Moon movie. I know most of you have probably already seen it.  I am not a huge fan of crowds so I decided to wait a few days to see the movie.  I am so excited!

New Moon Broke a Record

This morning on the news it was reported that over the first weekend that the New Moon movie was open it broke records and made $140.7 million!  It broke the record on Friday for all-time domestic for opening day $72.7 million!  Wow!!  That is pretty exciting!

My husband and I are going to be taking our youngest kids to the babysitter and go see New Moon movie.  Later today or tomorrow I will post my personal review of the movie.  I have heard some great things about it.  Although from what I have read the critics are being…well critical! I have always done my best to stay away from what the critics say and listen to what real people say.  Real people are saying this movie is really great!

So what I want to know from those of you that haven’t seen New Moon…Why haven’t you?  Are you waiting for the crowds to die down?  For those who have see the movie are you reading New Moon again?  Or are you reading Eclipse to get prepared for next summer and the Eclipse movie to come out? I am sure that most fans know that the New Moon Movie Premier was on Monday. I was able to watch it live on My Space as the stars came rolling in.  It was so fun and very exciting.  The movie officially premiers Friday. It is such an exciting time for all of the Twilight Saga fans.  I think all of the fans are really anticipating what is going to happen in the New Moon movie.  I am really excited to see how it plays out on film.  Is it anything like what I imagined as I read the New Moon book.

Also this week has been so fun to watch because of all the interviews and New Moon movie mania. Finally the rest of the world are seeing just how much we love the books!  I wanted to share just a few You Tube videos from the premier.  I think everyone did such a fabulous job with answering questions.  Even though I am a huge Team Edward fan I think both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner did a fantastic job on the red carpet.  They were geniune and so excited to see the New Moon movie!

One thing I must say is how annoying the woman is next to Rob. She is the one controlling how many questions are asked and actually cutting Rob off at times.  I really wanted to punch her and I am not a violent person.  I understand that everyone is on a schedule but you don’t have to be rude about it and she was down right rude a lot of the times.  She was rude to the fans as well!  Okay I will get off my soap box now!

Here is a Ryan Seacrest with Rob Pattinson at the New Moon movie premier.  In this video you can see first hand what the woman does.  I guess she is acting as his publicist. But Rob says he doesn’t have a publicist:

This Access Hollywood interview of Taylor Lautner is my favorite of him for the night.  He is just too cute and just makes you want to be a sixteen year old girl again!
